New monitoring
technology debuted at the ICE show in Munich |

Using
a network connection to the Screen/PLC we are able to access the
|
|
machine Screen and PLC
remotely. This gives us 2 advantages. From the |
|
customer side you are able
to log into the screen from your desk PC and |
|
view what program is in
operation, how many rolls slit, how many to go |
|
and who is running the
machine. From our side we can connect for fault |
|
finding, diagnostics and
upgrades etc. |
|
|
|
During the show the machine was connected to an iPhone and iPad. We |
|
could run the machine, change all the screens, change programs all |
|
remotely via Wi-Fi. The only thing I couldn’t do was change the roll! |
|
|
|
This
is a very new technology that we can now offered on new machines. |
